Intel is transforming to a data centric company. Leading this transformation are Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) like Amazon Web Services (AWS). We are looking for a Sales Development Manager/Alliance Lead to manage our America’s engagement, and go to market collaboration with AWS, their customers, and our joint partners. The role will focus on building and executing a joint GTM strategy with AWS and Intel leadership. Team Amazon GTM team is focused on accelerating adoption of Intel-based solutions across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Hybrid, HPC, AI/ML and Edge. We drive business acceleration through leadership alignment, sales acceleration program and marketing demand generation efforts in a way that is good for the customer, good for Amazon, and good for Intel.
Key Deliverables and Milestones
Developing and implementing a HQ/regional aligned growth strategy for our strategic alliance with AWS, with a goal to drive AWS consumption revenue for Intel based instances, and services in commercial deployments in the Americas.
This will involve expanding Intel’s routes to market with AWS including working directly with their Americas sales teams, while also identifying and building business relationships with key mutual Partners that drive AWS implementations into enterprises.
You will also team with the Intel SMG USA Country teams to collaboratively accelerate the joint Customers’ journey to the Cloud.
The role will include collaborating with regional Cloud Solution Architects (CSA) and other technical experts to help develop and deploy solutions that drive Intel affinity.
Outside of the regional AWS engagements, the alliance lead will also help identify and prioritize services and workloads that can be optimized as well as Partner GTM efforts.
Key areas of focus:
Alliance Management with AWS in North Asia region
GTM (Go-to-Market) Sales strategy and execution
Ecosystem collaboration across different routes to market i.e., GSI/RSI/ISV/MSP/CMP
Co-selling and AWS Sales pipeline management
AWS Sales, Product and Partner network development to increase influence for Intel based AWS services
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
Prior Sales experience in managing multinational alliances and partnerships
Clear and confident communicator to a range of audiences from Sales and Product VPs/ Directors to their teams
The candidate will be able to appreciate and articulate the technical value of Cloud solutions for partners and customers
Excellent Cloud computing acumen and industry knowledge of Analytics, Enterprise Workloads (e.g., VMWare, Oracle, SAP), Hybrid/ Multi Cloud, Big Data and HPC solutions
Understanding of Intel DPGs Cloud strategy and the ability to pull in the DPG product marketing resources and SMG influencer sales organization to achieve our goals
Due to the agility of Google Cloud and lean account team, the adaptability to invent and iterate GCP specific content, messaging and programs will be needed
Ability to be self-propelled and to work as part of a global account team
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus in identifying top candidates.
Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing/ Communication, Computer Science, or relevant subject area
3-5 years of prior experience in managing alliances and partnerships across either sales or marketing
Masters degree in Business Marketing/ Communication or MBA equivalent
1-2 years of experience delivering and educating stakeholders on Intel HW/SW roadmap, and solutions
Understanding of the Global and Regional Systems Integrators (GSIs/RSIs), Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Cloud Management Platforms (CMPs) and born on the Cloud integrators
Vertical Knowledge: of Retail, Financial Services, Healthcare/ Lifesciences, Industrial/ Manufacturing and Public-Sector
Domain Expertise: of Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning, Big Data, Analytics, SAP, Hybrid, and IOT
